Equip Present Fathers
Help men already in the home become emotionally present, responsible, and intentional.
The Story Behind DATN
Dads Against the Norm wasn't created because fatherlessness was a statistic.
It was created because its consequences are deeply personal, and because every child deserves something better.
Fatherlessness is one of the defining challenges facing today's children. For some, it means growing up without a father in the home. For others, it means living beside a father who is physically present but emotionally absent, passive, or unwilling to lead.
Behind every conversation about fatherlessness is a child whose future is being shaped by what is present, what is missing, and what no one has named yet.
Dads Against the Norm begins there, with children and families, and with the story of why this mission became impossible to ignore.

A Personal Journey
This section will eventually hold Austyn's fuller story in his own words. For now, the shape of that story is clear: growing up fatherless, feeling the effects of passivity, and searching for examples of biblical masculinity that were strong enough to build a different future.
Life taught difficult lessons. Marriage and fatherhood made the mission more urgent. The question became whether the patterns of fatherlessness would continue, or whether they could be confronted before another child inherited the same pain.
Dads Against the Norm was built from that conviction: families need fathers who are present, responsible, and willing to lead.
The Turning Point
"Children should never have to inherit the consequences of passive fatherhood."
That conviction became the foundation of Dads Against the Norm. It named the problem clearly without reducing families to shame, slogans, or statistics.
If fatherlessness can shape generations, then intentional fatherhood can interrupt the pattern. DATN exists to help make that interruption real.
From Conviction to Action
Dads Against the Norm exists to create lasting change through intentional action.
Help men already in the home become emotionally present, responsible, and intentional.
Support safe, accountable restoration when rebuilding the relationship serves the child's wellbeing.
Help boys and young men develop identity, character, responsibility, and leadership before harmful patterns repeat.
The Future
The vision for Dads Against the Norm extends beyond one person or one generation.
Our hope is to build a movement that equips fathers, strengthens families, partners with churches and communities, develops future leaders, and protects children for generations to come.

Every father who chooses to lead.
Every mentor who steps in.
Every church that partners.
Every family that refuses to accept fatherlessness as normal.
Together they become part of a much bigger story.
